FEATURED PERFORMERS

SAT SEPT 5th
BEAT JUNKIE
INSTITUTE OF SOUND

Some crews make history. The Beat Junkies built a school to teach it. Born in L.A. in 1992, this legendary collective (J.Rocc, DJ Babu, Rhettmatic, D-Styles, Shortkut and company) racked up battle trophies, coined the very word “turntablist,” and turned “Beat Junkie Style” into a global gold standard. Then, instead of resting on their crates, they opened the doors to the Beat Junkie Institute of Sound, where students learn on wax before they ever touch a laptop. Masters on the decks, mentors at heart, they’re proof that the best way to keep the culture alive is to pass the needle.

SAT SEPT 5th
EXPANSION TEAM SOUNDSYSTEM

Take two-thirds of Dilated Peoples, strip it down to the essentials, and crank it up: that’s Expansion Team Soundsystem. On the decks is DJ Babu cutting records like he’s got a personal grudge against dead air. On the mic is Rakaa Iriscience, a West Coast lyricist who rides the groove like it owes him money, mixing beloved verses with off-the-dome freestyles. Born from decades of L.A. underground royalty, this is a party-rocking, crowd-moving masterclass in true school hip hop.

SUN SEPT 6th
RAH DIGGA

Born in Newark and forged in Brick City fire, Rah Digga doesn’t just ride a beat, she takes it hostage. As the first lady of Busta Rhymes’ Flipmode Squad, she traded bars with the heavyweights and never once blinked. Razor-sharp, gravel-voiced, and allergic to filler, Rah Digga is here to remind everybody what lyricism sounds like when it’s done with zero apologies.
